Last weekend Isaac and I made a quick trip to New York City for the unveiling of LG SIGNATURE, LG’s new suite of innovative products with cutting-edge technology.
The new line launched October 5 and the brand had a gallery set up in Rockefeller Center from October 6-10 for people to come check out the new appliances. There were a few events throughout the week, but the one I attended was on Saturday morning with a large focus on the LG SIGNATURE Refrigerator and the brand’s partnership with Dominque Crenn.
There were mini brioches being passed around for a breakfast treat, along with Dominque’s recipe to make the brioches at home.
Isaac spent most of the event swooning over the 77″ picture-on-glass LG SIGNATURE OLED TV, while I spent the majority of my time checking out the laundry machines (hello, LG SIGNATURE Combo TWINWash™ — a washing machine that can wash two loads at once) and the LG SIGNATURE Refrigerator.
But let’s be honest, the fridge pretty much stole the show for me! As someone who spends a ton of time in the kitchen I get super pumped about kitchen appliances.
Oh hey, gorgeous!
Don’t worry, that’s just me hugging the fridge while checking out all the cool features like the Hands-Free Access option, which allows you to open the door when your hands are full with groceries simply by stepping on a sensor at the bottom of the refrigerator. (I shared a little video of this feature on Facebook if you want to check it out.) The InstaView™ feature is pretty awesome too — you’re able to turn the opaque Door-in-Door compartment transparent, just by giving the fridge two quick knocks, so you can see what’s in the fridge without even having to open the door.
If you’re interested, you can see all the features and check out the full lineup of LG SIGNATURE products here.
We’re actually on the market for a new fridge because our current refrigerator constantly freezes things (like my spring mix), plus the ice maker is broken so it was cool to see some of the latest and greatest features available right now. The LG SIGNATURE Refrigerator is now at the top of my dream kitchen wish list.
The trip to NYC was short, but we made the most of it and packed in some fun stuff. The LG SIGNATURE event was early on Saturday morning so we arrived in the city on Friday night and stayed in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. Friday night we hung out with two of Isaac’s best friends, Tav and Adam. We did dinner at Rosarito and drinks at Hotel Delmano. I highly recommend both spots. The tacos at Rosarito are delicious and Delmano is really pretty, plus the cocktails are tasty. The next morning we attended the LG event and then spent the day hanging out in the city.
Here a few highlights of the trip:
A quick visit to Other Half Brewing to return kegs and try some of the new releases. <– This is what happens when your husband works in the beer industry.
Coffee at one of our favorite coffee shops, Blue Bottle Coffee. We went on both Saturday and Sunday morning.
Lunch at The Butcher’s Daughter. I’ve been wanting to try this place for ages so when Alyssa suggested we go for lunch I was immediately game.
The smashed avocado toast was soo good. I want to go back and try all the things!
It was a fun little trip to New York and the weather was so much better than when we visited in February for my birthday and almost froze to death. New York is beautiful when it’s snowing, but fall is a much better time to visit if you want to spend a lot of time outside exploring.
Thanks again to LG for inviting me to the LG SIGNATURE Gallery. This post is sponsored by LG, but as always thoughts and opinions are my own. Thank you for supporting the brands that make EBF possible.
